YEAR END REVIEW:
Here’s our financial overview with income and expense totals for the year. Currently, individual donors are our main source of support and we couldn’t be more grateful. When it comes to expenses, the food trailer investment was by far our biggest leap. However we were excited to see our ingredients to supplies ratio with a healthy 4:1 ratio.
Looking ahead, we started 2025 with a balance of $13,154.30. This is huge for us! Our 2024 starting balance was only $600. We plan to use a portion of this funding to get our food trailer up and on the road by spring. Additionally, existing funds will be used to continue our winter meal programming prior to getting the trailer on the road!
Our goal is to lead other non profits by example with full transparency in our funding and use of funds.
In 2024, we hosted 16 meal events in Southwest Michigan. A total of 1136 meals were served.
Throughout the year, 33 volunteers donated their time to meal prep, service, and clean up. Two of these individuals were tourists visiting from Utah that “just wanted to give something back.”
Below are meal breakdowns for the two communities we were able to serve this year.
